The Apple Mac Mini with Snow Leopard Server is now being sold as an ideal business type server. For $999, the Mac Mini with Snow Leopard Server is the same as the Mac Mini, expect that instead of OS X you get OS X Server, and the DVD burner has been replaced by a second hard drive for 1TB of storage overall.

For businesses with small, single offices to large enterprises, Snow Leopard Server provides a lot. With full 64-bit power it will be welcome in a server environment; it is easy to set up; there is a fantastic set of Web services; incredible Podcast Producer 2 application; and is remarkably cost effective compared to other server options. There is also an iPhone Configuration Utility that makes it easy to deploy Apple’s mobile phone in a business environment. Mac OS X Server can be deployed as a main business server, or it is possible to attach a Mac running OS X Server to an existing network to provide the additional features found in Apple’s software.
