The HP ProLiant DL580 G5 Series is a high-end server designed to meet all the modern requirements for a high performance server unit. The DL580 G5 features full support for Intel Xeon 7400 series processors combined with 32 DIMM memory sockets and provides 4 terabytes of internal storage.

The DL580 G5 server also provides a 4 socket unit with a 4U rack optimized case, up to 24 cores, and PCI-Express and PCI-X mezzanine slots. A unique dual integrated set of Gigabit NIC's ensure a very fast and large bandwidth output for all business and application needs.
The HP ProLiant DL580 G5 includes support for up to four 6 core Intel Xeon processors working simultaneously with fully buffered DIMM support for increased performance. The G5 unit also includes 8 standard PCI-Express slots plus support to add 3 additional PCI-E or PCI-X slots for enhanced upgradability. Integrated Lights-Out 2 technology allows remote admin access from any location using a standard web browser. Additional DL580 features include a cable management system, a quick deploy rail for easier component racking, a unique server level power regulator, hot plug components (power supplies, fans, hard drives), allows easy server migration with the use of Microsoft Virtual Server, and a special rack to tower size case kit.
