It offers support for either an Intel Xeon Quad-Core up to 3.0GHz or an Intel Xeon Dual-Core up to 3.0GHz, a maximum memory of 8GB, and internal storage up to 1.17TB SAS or 4.0TB SATA.

In addition, the IBM x3200 comes chockfull of features such as network-based alerting that decreases downtime by informing administrators of failed components, IBM ServerGuide software that assists with the installation of the OS and drivers, and a Remote Deployment Manager that offers network-based deployment to help reduce installation costs.
